Satori is designed by Peddle Thorp, one of Australasia’s leading architectural firms. Our designers have delivered a discreet, elegant building that is respectful of its residential site on a quiet street.
The building hugs the natural land form and is located behind the curved feature which includes two vehicle entries, a visitor’s car park and landscaped arrival area. The vehicle entries provide access to two private car lifts that take residents’ vehicles down to the basement parking. Three cores with lift and stairs run along the rear of the building to provide private access to the upper residences and foyer adjoining the Satori Lounge.
Inspired by the simplicity, honesty and balance of Japanese architecture, Peddle Thorp have used natural concrete, glass and steel for the entire façade while employing different textures to articulate its form. The floors are delineated by a smooth concrete finish, whereas the walls have a textured finish reflecting the timber formwork from which it was cast.
Satori is orientated to face North-West to capture the afternoon sun and spectacular water views. Every residence enjoys a private outlook with the reserve separating the property from the homes on Awarua Crescent. It has four levels of residences that step down the naturally sloping site.
In every way, these are entertainers’ kitchens with a large stone island made for family gathering and entertaining. The feature rangehood, wall-mounted oven, gas hob and generous bench space will be appreciated by those who take their cooking seriously.
With a luxury palette of materials, crisp modern detailing and integrated Miele appliances, the kitchens are the centrepiece of these stunning residences.
The bathrooms in Satori have a subtle luxury with functional layout and exceptional storage. They incorporate designer touches such as large format tiles, wall-mounted aged brass tapware and feature rainwater showers.
The ensuites in the upper residences are accessed through a walk-in wardrobe, and include a wall-mounted toilet, mirror cabinet and custom double vanity on a feature stone plinth. This plinth extends into the wet area which contains two showers and a luxurious freestanding bath.
